Named for patrons Margot and Bill Winspear, the Winspear Opera House was built in 2009 as a modern interpretation of the traditional opera house structure. Designed by British architect Spencer De Grey, the design features a breath-taking glass facade that wraps around the main building and acoustics specifically tailored to Opera and Musical Theatre performances. It is home to the Dallas Opera as well as the Texas Ballet Theatre and welcomes top touring Broadway productions regularly.

Designed by three different architectural firms, the AT&T Performing Arts Center is one of Dallas' most striking buildings, the vibrant red Winspear Opera House rising out of its center like a beacon. Completed in 2009, the center is home to many local companies, including Texas Ballet Theater and Dallas Opera.
