Nemorino becomes infatuated with Adina, but with no money and no prospects, trying to woo this woman is practically impossible... or is it? A mysterious salesman turns up with a bottle of "magic elixir" that may help Nemorino in his ambitions. Will it work? A true classic of the opera canon since it first premiered in 1832, this story of unrequited love continues to delight to this day.
