Why See Dallas Opera: The Marriage of Figaro?

Mozart's Comic Masterpiece

Known as Mozart's funniest opera, The Marriage of Figaro reunites us with Count and Countess Almivira, who's respective servants are be married. Only Count Almivra is bored with his new wife and decides to try his luck with Figaro's betrothed. A mad-cap adventure soon follows as the the servants must find some way to outwit their masters!

Returning to head this Dallas Opera production in the lead role is Italian bass-baritone Mirco Palazzi, who recieved great notices for his Leporello back in 2010's Don Giovanni (the examiner called him "delightful"). Two more international sopranos Nicole Car and Beate Ritter will be making their American debuts, while Dallas Opera's Music Director Emmanuel Villaume will be conducting.
