Shrek The Musical arrives at the Music Hall at Fair Park, Dallas

The most beloved swamp-dwelling ogre of all time arrives in Dallas this Fall when SHREK, THE MUSICAL arrives at the Music Hall at Fair Park September 28th until 17th October.. Joining Shrek on his journey from the swamp to the stage will be his wisecracking sidekick Donkey, Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad and a chorus of everybody's favorite fairytale creatures.

Blue Man Group at the Winspear Opera House Dallas

For sheer, weird, exuberant fun, it's hard to top BLUE MAN GROUP at the Winspear Opera House 14th - 26th September. This crowd-pleasing happening, may well be the world's most accessible piece of multimedia performance art.

 

Young Frankenstein at the Winspear Opera House Dallas

Don't miss Mel Brooks smash hit new musical based on the 1974 movie, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. When Frederick Frankenstein, a New York brain surgeon, inherits a castle in Transylvania, does he run from his family's tortured past, or stay to carry on his grandfather's mad experiments? The legendary LIZA MINNELLI performs for just two nights in concert with the Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas on October 8th & 9th.

 

2010 TONY AWARD WINNERS

At last the waiting is over, and after all the excitement of the most glamorous night on Broadway, best of the Broadway season were honored at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, 14 June. A host of A-list actors turned out for the stage equivalent of the Oscars. The 2010 Tony Awards have officially been announced.

Red, John Logan's portrait of abstract-expressionist artist Mark Rothko, and Memphis, the story of showbiz aspirations and forbidden love in the Civil Rights era, were named Best Play and Best Musical, respectively.

The Tony for Best Revival of a Play went to the late August Wilson's drama Fences starring Denzel Washington (Tony for Best Actor Tony) and Viola Davis (Tony for Best Actress in a Play).

Best Revival of a Musical went to La Cage aux Folles starring Douglas Hodge (Tony for Best Actor in a Musical) and Kelsey Grammer.
