Take a trip back to Soul's golden age
Soul legends unite on the Verizon theatre for this special throwback concert. Topping the bill are The Whispers, who have over 50 years in the music business behind them. One of R&B music's most beloved and consistently popular vocal groups, The Whispers comprise twin brothers Walter and Wallace Scott, with Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson, and Gordy Harmon. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, they perfected their harmonies through street performances and working through various record labels, including a period at Soul Train in the Seventies. Among their best known tracks are 'Rock Steady' and 'Keep On Lovin' Me'.
Joining The Whispers at the Verizon Theatre are The Manhattans ('Kiss and Say Goodbye', 'Forever By Your Side') and Mary Wilson, founding member of the legendary Supremes ('Baby Love', 'You Can't Hurry Love').
