12 Days of Christmas
Hailed as one of Texas' best holiday events, the 12 Days of Christmas lights display at the Arboretum is something not to be missed! Enjoy the holiday village and explore the spectacular display of lights and Christmas magic adorning this world-class botanical garden. On now until January 5th!
21, 22 December
Head over to The Adolphus for a magical evening of Holiday tunes, all illuminated by candlelight. Hear Christmas classics, including music from The Nutcracker and beloved carols like Joy To The World, Deck The Halls, and much more. All performed by a string quartet! This event promises to be the perfect blend of intimate, magical and festive - just right for an extra-special Christmas celebration!
The Dallas Holiday Parade
Head to downtown Dallas this Christmas for the annual holiday parade. See marching bands, dancers and costumed characters galore will take to the streets on December 7th, a perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
A Very Sinatra Christmas Special
17, 18 19 December
Join some of Dallas' best jazz vocalists for a 'very Sinatra' evening of carols and Christmas songs. With a repertoire of songs selected especially with 'Ol Blue Eyes' in mind, enjoy a cocktail and get into the Christmas spirit at this downtown Dallas venue!
Trains at NorthPark
A great place to spend some hours while it's cold outside is NorthPark Center for it's annual 'Trains' exhibition. Be enchanted by over 1,600 miles of miniature railway and picture-perfect recreations of some iconic American and Texan scenes. A family tradition for 37 years! On from now until January 5th.
Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot
A Dallas tradition for over 50 years with over 20k runners! Head out to support or to take on one of the distances yourself - and all for a great cause. There's 8 miles, 5km, and a virtual run to choose from. Plus, if you're spectating, bring your dog too for the Dog Trot!

This corny musical offers audiences a kernel of joy, exploring how opening up to people and ideas we are wary of can be a beautiful process, uniting us in our similarities, not our differences. Aw Shucks! It's on from December 3 to 15.

Outdoor ice rinks
Stockyards Rodeo Rink in Forth Worth and the Peace Plaza rink in Grapevine open for their winter season at this time of year. Join in the festive fun! Both run from November until early January.
Galleria Dallas Ice Rink
If it's too frosty to brave it at one of the many outdoor ice rinks in Dallas-Forth Worth outside, head inside where it's warmer to Galleria Dallas where they have a year-round ice rink. It's extra special during the holidays though, with the USA's BIGGEST indoor Christmas tree right in the centre of the rink for you to skate around!
