Hamilton joins fellow Broadway allies The Prom and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom as a nominee in this years Golden Globe Awards. Weirdly, all three productions are nominated for two awards each. The stiffest competition will be between The Prom and Hamilton, who both shared nominations in the categories below:

Best actor in a film musical or comedy
Best film musical or comedy

Hamilton sees its creator and all-round musical theater legend Lin-Manuel Miranda nominated for 'Best actor in a film musical or comedy' whilst British James Corden is The Prom's candidate for 'Best actor in a film musical or comedy'. Marvel star Chadwick Boseman has received a posthumous 'Best actor in a film drama' nomination for his role in 'Ma Rainey'.

You'll have to watch the ceremony live on Sunday February 28th to find out who will be adding another sparkling trophy to their cabinet!
