TERRIBLE

One of the two or three worst plays hosted by the Huntsville BTL, and we've been season ticket holders for years. It was a total waste of time. We left at intermission along with quite a few others.

0 STARS!

Dark and depressing. Dream sequence was painful to watch. Very disappointed.

TERRIBLE

This play doesn’t deserve a one star. What a waste of time and money. Boring, boring, lack of talent, setting, acting. We left at first intermission. What happened?????

IT ISN'T HAMILTON

The "Classics" are amazing for a reason - don't try to change them. This was Just horrible. We only stayed to end of the first act because we were too polite to get up and walk out during this 'performance'. There is no room for 'woke' in directing musicals. Stark by design it was very boring and disconnected. Seventy-five years after Rodgers & Hammerstein reinvented the American musical these fools denigrated it. The families should sue for damages........

JUST SAY NO

The app does not allow less than one star. My recommendation is don’t waste your time or money, or if you bought tickets get a refund. Read the reviews and decide for yourself.

UGH....

Never saw the original Oklahoma and with the exception of the vague (and brief) disclaimer at the beginning of the show, I had no idea how how radically different this would be from expectations. Knew something was off when one of the characters in a jeans skirt. It only got worse from there. The decision point to leave came after the Blair Witch-esque suicide focused dialogue between Curly and Jud. After it was over, I turned to my wife and said "What the **** was that????" Needless to say we left at intermission. Though I applaud BTL for trying something new, this was an absolute crapfest of a production. Judging from the other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one to feel this way.

OKLAHOMA WAS NOT OK!

The VBCC should be embarrassed for allowing this play to be called Oklahoma. We left at intermission and should have left after it became apparent there weren’t going to have any scene changes. I don’t blame the actors or the band, they did the best they could with horrible stage design (lack of) and directing. Apparently “bait and switch” is now part of the theater business. Very disappointed.
