Why See UB40?
Ali, Astro and Mickey
Three founding members of the iconic UB40 are back on the road touring their new unplugged album. Singer Ali Campbell, keyboard player Mickey Virtue and percussionist Astro have been playing together for over five years, and their 2016 record Unplugged found the trio revisiting some of their greatest hits acoustically.
UB40 were one of the most influential reggae outfits of the 1980s, leading the British ska revolution alongside The Specials and Madness. Enjoying just as much success on this side of the Atlantic, the band scored two Bllboard Number One singles with 'Red Red Wine' and 'I Can't Help) Falling in Love With You'. Their other best known tracks include 'One in Ten', 'Please Don't Make Me Cry' and 'Kingston Town'.
