75% TEMPO

Fourth time seeing them. Seemed the entire set this time around was played at 3/4 speed for some reason. Very low energy. Don't remember that from other shows I saw. Hard to get into it when the whole show is trudging through the mud. Combined with horrible sound for Modest Mouse as the opener, and it was a pretty disappointing evening.

DISAPPOINTING

First off, the Modest Mouse show was horrible. The sound quality was the worst I ever heard, you couldn’t hear the lyrics and there was little definition in the music. It just looked like it sucked the life out of the crowd. The sound for the black keys was better, at least you could hear the lyrics. Their set selection was poor with very little variation. It really hurt the band and highlighted one of the main complaints about the band being one dimensional. They played too many songs that were similar in a row. They should have mixed in more of their ballads or old stuff sooner in the show. I am a big fan and all their albums, but there show was way too linear. It also seemed like they cut their songs short or something. It’s like they played 30 songs in an hour. For me the show was a major disappointment.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Very disappointing performance from a good band. Speed was off, sound was off, just flat . Sorry if you don't want to be there Dan , but fake it a little better for the money grab this tour is. Probably the last time I will buy tickets for them.

BAD SOUND

I guess it was where we were sitting. We could see them perfectly to their left but the speakers seemed as if they weren’t pointed correctly. Yes the front audience probably didn’t notice but again just think about it, 30% of your audience are the the sides and the other is in front and on the floor. The Fresno Savemart Center concert was awesome. This one was terrible. They are my favorite band and was waiting for it for about a year when we got our tickets. We even invited my niece to go. My wife and my 2 boys went so a total of 5 of us. We all felt that same ugh feeling. Annoying sound. Couldn’t make out the words and the music sounded muffled. The bass and treble was extremely bad as if it was going through the sound of a closed vehicle. I love this group but the show sucked I’m sorry. We left very very disappointed back 3 hours to where we’re from. Please someone give this info to someone that cares.
