Medieval Provance: What is Iolanta about?

Death will befall anyone who should trespass in Iolanta's garden, but that doesn't bother Vaudemont, for whom curiosity is too much. When he comes across the sleeping Princess, he immediately loses his heart and asks for just one thing to remember her. Enraptured by this bold stranger, Iolanta offers a rose, but is unable to tell him the color.
